I switched teaching positions this year and I'm now teaching computer education to middle school students. I take the students through various programs such as word, excel, powerpoint, and dreamweaver. I also teach them how to use digital cameras, video cameras, and scanners. I choose a theme that takes us threw all of the projects. The two themes that I use are autobiography and business. I am looking for additional themes for when I have students who end up in the class for three years (6th, 7th, and 8th grades). Let me know if you have any ideas.

The 2 themes you use are autobiography and business... I would imagine those 2 themes would bore middle schoolers. Try thinking of something more fun for them. Perhaps you should let students choose their own theme for the projects. tell them to pick a theme and get you to approve it, if they can't think of a theme, then you can suggest a theme for them.
